Kardeş Kitap is founded in 1990. Focused primarily in the "ELT" books market, but at the same time served to the academic and trade & professional market. Kardeş Kitap was the exclusive distributor for Prentice-Hall ELT and Penguin ELT until they were bought by Pearson, and was the exclusive distributor for McGraw-Hill Books' Academic (Higher Education) and trade & professional division for three years. Now Kardeş Kitap is the exclusive distributor for, "McGraw-Hill/Contemporary ELT", "Heinle/Thomson", "New-Editions", "Ladybird" and imports books from Penguin, DK (Dorling Kindersley), Scholastic and Wordsworth.
